Part-Time Wedding Coordinator

The University of St. Thomas seeks a Part-time Wedding Coordinator.  This position exists in order to carry out policies surrounding the celebration of weddings at the Chapel of St. Thomas Aquinas at UST. It is vital in our ministry to facilitate 60-80 weddings per year involving UST students, faculty, staff and alum.
Responsibilities Include:

  1. Serve as main point of contact for wedding couples, clergy and vendors
  2. Coordinate and communicate details regarding rehearsals and weddings
  3. Attend and direct the rehearsals
  4. Attend weddings to prepare, coordinate and oversee all events of the day
  5. Maintain appearance and inventory for the chapel
  6. Present a positive and professional image of the University

The successful candidate will possess a commitment to the ideals of this mission statement.   Qualifications: High School diploma and three years of administrative experience; Bachelor's degree preferred.
The successful candidate will have strong working knowledge of the Roman Catholic Liturgy; detail orientation; ability to remain calm in tense situations and to make "spur of the moment" problem solving decisions; strong customer service, conflict resolution and communication skills; ability to take initiative; ability to work effectively with minimal supervision.
