Payroll Coordinator
Salary: $15.16 - $17.84 The University of St. Thomas seeks applications for a Payroll Coordinator
Responsibilities include: data base administration of two automated time keeping systems; train student employees; insure accuracy of student employment process; monitor electronic filing system; process manual checks; balance general ledger accounts related to Payroll; process payroll deductions; insure accuracy of data entry and provide exceptional customer service; respond to general inquiries; and special projects as assigned.

Qualifications: Two year Technical or Business Degree and 2 years of working with an EDP payroll system or education equivalent preferred.
We are looking for candidates with strong organizational skills; effective oral and written communication skills; customer service and problem-solving skills; detail orientation; proficiency in Microsoft Office; ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously with frequent interruptions.
The ideal candidate will have knowledge of tax laws for International Non-resident Aliens; knowledge of electronic time keeping a plus; familiarity with using a reporting system (i.e. Cognos).
