The Board of Directors for the MNLHE will be having its monthly board meeting Saturday April 18th from 10am-noon at the Wells Fargo building in the offices of MnSCU. All are encouraged to come in person or participate via telephone conference.

 Greetings fellow Latinos and Latinas from all over the metropolitan region! Do to popular demand, we are reviving the tradition of monthly socials the last Friday of every month. Our first social gathering will be THIS Friday, February 27, 2009 at 5:30 PM. We have reserved the prestigious restaurant of A LA SALSA located in the Midtown Global Market on the corner of Chicago and Lake in South Minneapolis. The event will be a fellowship event to reconnect with old friends, and above all, make new ones! Come surround yourself with Latinos and Latinas and be part of the family that makes our culture so amazing, desired, and united.

February's board meeting will be at Metro State in St Paul, MN from 10 am-12 noon.  Stay tuned for the room location.

Network Board Retreat, MnSCU Headquarters, Wells Fargo Place, Downtown Saint Paul, MN, 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.

Come one come all-this semester, the Social Hours will fall on the THIRD Friday of the month.   Our first one will occur at Pepitos on Chicago and 48th in South MPLS. The owner, long time local Chicano resident is excited to support our group!  He also owns the Parkway Theater next door-stay for the movie!

The Network of Latinos in Higher Education is happy to announce its 2nd Annual Summit being taking place Friday October 10 and Saturday October 11. The summit will be held at Hamline University at the Klas Center. This year's summit, "Building a Supportive Latino Campus", will focus on the importance of supporting institutions, faculty, and staff to build a more welcoming and supportive institution for Latino students.

This month's board meeting will be held at the beautiful campus of Hamline University-hosts of this year's annual Summit. Room number and details to follow.
